We have a weekend full of diving planned around Nelson Bay, for NUDES members!

 

This event will be an extravaganza of diving, with Broughton Island SCUBA diving trips and freediving trips on either Saturday or Sunday. The option to go freediving on a line, or spearfishing, or SCUBA diving at any of the incredible local dive sites. PLUS there will be a Wave 1 Freediving Course running over the weekend!!

 

Certified Divers

Freedivers!! We have recently secured dive buoys to practise freediving on a line. There will be opportunities to practise on the line, as well doing some snorkelling and underwater sight-seeing around the Bay.

SCUBA Divers!! We have a few Dive Masters who have offerred to take people out on some guided dives. Fly Point, The Pipeline, wherever has good conditions is where we will go.

Wave 1 Freediving Course

We have organised an incredible opportunity (with a mad discount) to get certified as a Wave 1 freediver with our trusted affiliates Salty Pilgrims Freediving. The course will run from the Friday afternoon through to Sunday, and at the end you will be a fully qualified freediver! 

Join their level 1 course and you'll discover how comfortable you can become underwater. You will learn the basics of freediving, how to better access your body's breath holding capabilities, and how to safely and comfortably dive to depths of up to 20 metres on one breath!

Plus Jordan and Ellie are mad spearos, so you will get the best tips and tricks on how to secure your catch!

Non-certified water people and land dwellers!

For those who are keen on chilling on the beach, making new friends and doing a bit of swimming/snorkelling at any of the numerous beaches, just book the 2 nights accommodation. You're more than welcome to join us!

 

Accommodation

We have secured three powered campsites at The Halifax Holiday Park for two nights,

Bring your own tent/swag and be sure to carpool with a friend as it might get a bit squishy with too many cars there. If you don't know anyone but still want to camp, let us know and we can organise carpooling.

It will be absolutely incredible to stay with and meet other divers, we will have camp cook-ups, play games and chill with other ocean lovers. 

 

Members are entirely welcome to organise your own accommodation or drive up to the bay each day and join us.
