Club event heading to Catherine Hill Bay Coal Loader for a fantastic day of shoring diving, snorkelling, and a BBQ!
Whether you're diving, snorkelling, or just keen to enjoy a day by the water with the club, we'd love to see you there.
Remember to get your club membership for this semester before attending!

Meet at the gear store: 7:30am if collecting dive gear from the shed
Location: 130 University Dr, Callaghan NSW 2308 -
Meet at the Catherine Hill Bay: 9am if collecting snorkelling gear from the trailer
Location: Flowers Drive, Catherine Hill Bay NSW 2281 (near the surf life saving club) -
Expected finish: Cleaning up by 3pm (times may vary)

Transport: The club does not provide transport to Catherine Hill Bay, so please organise your own transport or arrange to carpool with other members. If carpooling please meet at the club shed at 8am.

Gear hire from the club (wetsuits, BCDs, regulators, masks, snorkels, booties, weight belts, weights, and tanks available for hire)

Please bring your own snacks, drinks, and anything else you'd like for the day.
About the Dive
This is one of the club's easy dives, making it the perfect opportunity for members to practice and build confidence in a calm, sheltered environment. During the dive you can work on:

Becoming comfortable setting up your gear
-
Getting your weighting right
-
Improving your buoyancy skills
-
Improving your air consumption
Completing one of our easy dives is a requirement for new members, beginner divers, or anyone who is still developing the skills above before joining our intermediate dives and dive trips. The Dive Master will assess whether the skills required for intermediate dives have been demonstrated.
Important Information
By purchasing a ticket for this dive, you confirm that:

You are a certified diver (Open Water or higher).

You have dived within the past 6 months.
If you do not meet these requirements, please contact us before purchasing so we can arrange a refresher course before the dive. Failure to meet these conditions may result in not being able to dive.
Snorkellers are welcome and do not need a dive certification, but are required to be competent swimmers.
